St. Mark's Donates to Two Worthy Causes

Students at St. Mark's Lutheran School in Eureka packed a lot into their recent celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week, March 6-12, said Brenda Kimberlin, Lutheran Elementary School Association spokeswoman.

The students pulled out their cowboy hats for Western Day, played board games with their grandparents, and donated supplies to two worthy causes: the Alaskan Christian Mission Project and St. Louis Children's Hospital.

"This year we collected gently used towels, which will be taken to Alaska during a summer mission trip, and we also donated more than 100 new books to Children's [St. Louis Children's Hospital] through our Scholastic book fair," said St. Mark's teacher Debbie Armbruster.

The theme of this year's week was“Securing Each Child's Future-Making Disciples,” based on John 8:31b, 32. St. Mark's Lutheran School is located at 500 Meramec Blvd. in Eureka.

St. Mark's is a member of the St. Louis-based Lutheran Elementary School Association.
