Lutheran HS in Edwardsville Gets $300,000 Grant
03/24/2009 Metro-East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville announced today that the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis has committed a matching grant of $300,000 to the high school.The specifications of the matching gift state that the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis will provide $300,000 if the Campaign is successful in raising $300,000 million in gifts from individual donors. The match is a dollar for dollar match, up to the maximum of $10,000 per donor over the next two years.
“We are truly blessed by the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis,” commented Principal Dan Kostencki. “I know they gave serious and careful thought to our proposal, and in so doing realized the need for significant capital improvements and renovation at Metro-East Lutheran High School.”
The Building on the One Foundation capital campaign calls for raising $10 million for high-priority construction of additional classrooms, a multi-purpose fine arts center, renovations and the construction of additional athletic facilities as well as the renovation of existing buildings and facilities.
