Tutors to be Recognized at the Primary Campus

Seven retired individuals have given their time and energy

weekly to tutor students in reading and writing during the 2008-2009 school year and will be recognized with an appreciation luncheon.

There are seven students at the Primary Campus who have had the advantage of getting a little extra help this school year. Thanks to some dedicated, retired individuals who came in once or twice a week all year, these children have received help with both reading and writing. The children have also built unique bonds with nurturing and caring people who are all, in fact, grandparents themselves. In order to honor these special people, Word of Life will be hosting a Tutor Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, May 28th at 12:30 P.M. at the Primary Campus. The tutors will enjoy a nice lunch, and get to have dessert with the children they worked with all year. Both school administrators, David Robinson and Alicia Klug, will be there to honor them, as well. *Please see below for a list of the tutors, their home churches, and the number of years and to what capacity they have tutored.

Word of Life Lutheran School is a member of the Lutheran Elementary School
Association (LESA), a registered, non-profit education organization made up of thirty-seven elementary schools and related agencies in the city of St. Louis, St. Louis county, St. Charles County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County in Missouri, and Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties in Illinois.
