Lutheran High St. Charles Students Named AP Scholars
Four students from Lutheran High School of St.
Charles County have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional
achievement on AP Exams which are part of the curriculum at LHS.
Sarah Cooper, Sara Samuelson, and Christa Steinbacher were recognized as AP
Scholars for scoring grades of 3 or higher on each of the three AP exams they took
last spring. Alexandra Capestany was recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor for
averaging a 4 on the four AP exams which she took.
The College Board's Advanced Placement Program provides students the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college
credit, advanced placement, or both through successful performance on the AP Exams.
Lutheran High also offers dual credit classes through St. Louis University and
Lindenwood University as another way in which high school students can earn college
credits during their high school years. Through AP Exams and Dual Credit, Lutheran
High provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to
earn college credit or advanced placement and stand out in the college admissions
process.
